3. Cancellation and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your move with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled date for a full refund of the deposit, minus any applicable fees. Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the scheduled move may incur cancellation fees, and refunds may not be issued.

4. Client’s Responsibilities

As a client, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and ready for transport.
• Disclosing any fragile, valuable, or high-risk items that require special handling.
• Providing access to the property for our movers, including any special instructions or conditions (such as elevator use or parking limitations).
• Informing us of any obstacles, hazards, or unusual circumstances at either the origin or destination locations.

5. Astor Movers’ Responsibilities

Astor Movers agrees to:

• Provide professional moving services as described in the agreement.
• Handle your property with care and respect.
• Use appropriate equipment and methods for loading, transportation, and unloading.
• Arrive at the designated location within the agreed-upon timeframe, barring any unforeseen circumstances such as weather, traffic delays, or emergencies.

6. Insurance and Liability

While Astor Movers makes every effort to ensure the safe handling and transportation of your belongings, we are not liable for any damage or loss of items unless specified in writing as part of our moving insurance options.

We recommend purchasing moving insurance for high-value or fragile items. Standard coverage, if applicable, may not cover certain types of damage, including but not limited to damage caused by inadequate packing, pre-existing conditions, or natural disasters.

7. Prohibited Items

There are certain items that we cannot transport, including:

• Hazardous materials (chemicals, explosives, flammable items, etc.)
• Live plants or animals
• Perishable goods
• Items of excessive weight or size that exceed truck capacity
• Valuable items (e.g., money, jewelry, documents) unless previously agreed upon and covered under additional insurance

If any of these items are found during the move, we reserve the right to refuse transport.

8. Damage Claims

Any personal or financial details you provide to us for booking purposes will only be used for the purpose of completing your move and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these Terms if such failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Terrorist attacks or civil unrest

• Shortages of labor or materials
